Exciting opportunity to join an established owner managed SME business whose turnover for 2021 exceeded £80 million, As the new **Head of Finance** you will be reporting into the Director where you will be working in a number 2 role, and overseeing the production of the monthly management accounting pack as well as supporting the Director in terms of driving business strategy,responsible for leading and developing a growing medium size finance team.
As the new **Head of Finance** you will be working closely with the Director, and you will have full responsibility for providing accurate financial reporting, enabling the business to make decisions based on robust financial information and amongstother things, leading on all aspects of financial accounting and controls, preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, budget control and Corporation Tax payments, preparation and ongoing management of statutory reporting requirements, review of finance processesto streamline and automate, reviewing and preparation of daily cash flow balances, transfer and online banking, preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis with supporting commentary forthe senior leadership team.
You will be taking responsibility for both financial and non-financial controls across the business to manage both commercial and fraud risks, working with the IT department to seek efficiency gains in all business processes, andlooking to implement and enhancesystem-based controls, streamliningthe reporting to support commercial decisions and help identify opportunities to enhance profitability within the business, developing financial forecasts and modelling for potential business opportunities and future growth
As the new **Head of Finance** the business are looking for someone who can come on board and implement tangible improvements and for you to put your own stamp on a growing business.
Offering a salary of £70k-£80k per annum (depending on experience) + twice yearly bonus’s + private health care + pension + life assurance.
**Ideally, you will**:

- **Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)**:

- Be a committed team player with strong and proven team leadership experience,
- Hands - on approach with the ability and desire to delve into detail when required
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively complex financial information to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Strong IT skills - **specifically advanced Excel**:

- Previous **Retail or FMCG knowledge** and experience is desirable
