Anderson Knight is recruiting for a full time Material Controller within the Purchasing Department of our client based in Linlithgow.

This role has arisen due to company expansion and growth and provides the opportunity to work for a well-known global business.

**Main duties and responsibilities are**:

- Using MRP system to place and control orders.
- Co-operating with import and freight forwarder to arrange deliveries.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with both global and local suppliers.
- Maintaining stock control.
- Support and maintain close working relations with Production and Quality personnel to make sure requirements are met.
- Prepare and present regular reports on material procurement, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics to management and other stakeholders. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.

**Key attributes and skills**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material control, procurement, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
- Proficient in using computerised inventory management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and documentation.
- Knowledge of quality standards, materials specifications, and technical requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
