Teaching Assistant required to provide 1-2-1 support for a Male Key Stage 4 student who no longer attends mainstream education. Do you have experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviours as a Teaching Assistant, Residential Support Worker or BehaviourMentor? This SEHM School is looking to add an experienced Teaching Assistant to the team to provide 1-2-1 support for a student who has struggled to engage in education and requires behavioural support. As a Teaching Assistant for this student you will beacting as a positive role model and mentor, delivering intervention sessions, providing academic support and helping them to reengage with education.
This role requires a Teaching Assistant or Mentor who has previously worked with challenging behaviour, is resilient, empathetic and understands the challenges that young people are facing today. Experience supporting children on young people who have beenexcluded or exposed to criminal activity is desirable. This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is looking for a long-term opportunity to make a difference.
Job Role:

- Supporting a male Key Stage 4 Student on a 1-2-1 basis
- Having a good understanding of SEMH Needs and challenging behaviours
- Working as a Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant
- Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
- Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
