Step into a vital role at Securitas, driving EHS excellence and fostering a culture of safety across our Security Services and Technology divisions.
Reporting to the EHS Manager, this key role requires a confident individual, responsible for ensuring that the organisation meets current Environment and Health and Safety (EHS) legislative and industry regulations/guidance. The role will require a proactive, supportive, and collaborative approach to working with all colleagues and the ability to establish and maintain systems that promote a culture of safe working practices and behaviours across the organisation.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide Safety inspection / audit capability to ensure operational activities comply to legal, EHS Management System and corporate requirements - including EHS audits of engineers, sub-contractors and Securitas offices.
- Take a lead role in the development of site-specific pre-construction and construction phase plans as required.
- Provide EHS support and guidance to colleagues verbally and non-verbally, ensuring current procedures are followed and legal obligations are met.
- To coach managers, engineers and other colleagues in their personal, legal and corporate EHS obligations.
- To be involved with the EHS Management System and internal auditing of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system including supporting 3rd party external audits.
- Liaising with external assessment bodies on all matters related to the external accreditation process (CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor etc.) assisting in preparing submissions as appropriate for relevant accreditation bodies.
- Provide support to the EHS Manager (and wider QEHS team) in relation to maintaining systems, procedures; creating Focus Topics (Toolbox Talks) for communication with the business; and Safety Committees.
- Support System Designers, Project Managers and Engineers in their CDM Principal Designer, Designer, Principal Contractor and Contractor legal Responsibilities.
- Ensure that all subcontractors that the organisation wishes to use are evaluated EHS compliance.
- Carry out any other activity as directed by the EHS Manager or Director of EHS, Audit & Compliance.

**Essential**
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence for vehicles in Cat B.
