What is the Job?

As a Trainee Public Health Practitioner, you will gain valuable work experience supporting our residents to live and work in safe healthy environments. Working alongside experienced colleagues in the Public Health Team based in the centre of Stockton-on-Tees, you will learn to support the development, strategic planning, commissioning and evaluation of health and wellbeing interventions and programmes in line with local and national public health priorities, the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and to support the delivery of the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

We are seeking someone who has a passion for improving the health of the population of Stockton-on-Tees and will be committed to contributing to addressing health inequalities through partnership working and collaboration with a range of organisations from the NHS to the Voluntary and Community Sector.

What will I be studying?

You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to attend training at the University of Sunderland and work towards completion of the Public Health Practitioner (integrated degree) apprenticeship qualification.

As this is an apprenticeship opportunity, your course fees will be fully funded and so you will accrue no University fees or student debt and will also be earning throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.
