We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy cafe and providing excellent service to our customers. This is a full-time position, worked over 7 days, between the hours of 7.45am - 6.00pm on a rota system.

- Greet customers and take their orders in a friendly and efficient manner
- Prepare and serve hot and cold food and beverages, ensuring that company standards and food hygiene requirements are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints

- Some previous experience in a similar role is essential, although on-the-job-training will be provided to add to/strengthen existing skills
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety guidelines is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £5.28-£10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
