MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Tyne and Wear, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Maintenance Engineer to join their team. **The Job You’ll Do;**
- Performing scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to minimise unplanned downtime and quality concerns.
- Performing effective diagnosis of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment to maximise availability
- Documenting breakdowns to help identify and resolve reoccurring issues.
- Analysis of issues to root cause and development of countermeasures, improvement actions and/or suggestions to improve.
- Working cross functionally to produce effective maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
- Working collaboratively with Production and Quality departments to ensure the highest level of build quality is achieved after any intervention and throughout the working life of equipment.
- Provide effective verbal reports to Team Members.
**About You;**
- Electro-mechanical knowledge of process and equipment maintenance
- Experience of PLC systems including Siemens (preferred)
- Experience of manufacturing equipment and troubleshooting issues
- Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferred)
- HNC or 18th Edition
- Be a logical problem solver with excellent fault-finding abilities.
- Be an effective communicator at all levels.
- Have completed a Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship.
