**About Our Client**:
This company is a reputable non-profit organisation of medium size, located in Wallingford. The organisation takes pride in its commitment to its cause and is well-respected within the sector for its dedication and results.
- Communicating with relevant suppliers and internal staff to process invoicing or payment queries.
- Attaching the correct documentation to invoices and reconciling purchase orders to invoices received.
- Posting invoices and credit notes and ensuring they are coded correctly in the system.
- Occasionally raising Purchase Request Forms for members of Finance and other staff members.
- Preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Preparing and processing supplier payments and ensuring that the Assistant Financial Controller or Head of Finance has approved all payments.
- Ensuring that all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures.
- Investigating and resolving outstanding creditor items.
- Process of expense and credit card claims - ensuring accurate claims are in accordance with the latest VAT legislations.
- Preparation and reconciliation of aged creditors report.
- Setting up new suppliers and ensuring the supplier onboarding process has been followed.
- Validation of bank details of new suppliers address and Dun & Bradstreet - verification.
- Continuous improvement on processes, especially when implementing new systems.
- General support to Finance function.

**The Successful Applicant**:
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of accounting and specifically Accounts Payable duties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
