Dt Technician

**About the DT Technician role**:
We are seeking a capable, self-motivated individual to provide flexible and creative technical support to the design technology department and to provide technical backup to other departments within the faculty as required.

You will be responsible for preparing and providing tools, equipment and materials to support the teaching of design technology. You will also be expected on occasions to support students in class alongside teachers within the department.

You will also have the opportunity to increase working hours by supporting the site team by carrying out maintenance work during the school holidays, which will be paid in addition to the hours above.

**What we are looking for in our DT Technician**:
A good understanding of DT equipment, procedures and related Health and Safety is desirable. You will be given full machine training but the ability to operate woodworking and metalworking machinery and having knowledge of CAD/CAM and laser cutting would be advantageous. You will be able to work in a practical and proactive manner.
