Nursery Cook

**High Hopes Nursery **is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our fantastic nursery to run our Nursery Kitchen, supporting us in providing a healthy and varied menu for children ages 6 months - 4yrs.

**The Role**
- Permanent position (5 days / 40hrs)
- May consider part-time (4 days)
- This role would suit someone who is organised with excellent time management and people skills.

**About High Hopes Nursery**
- An Outstanding-graded nursery set in a semi-rural location
- Large home-from-home kitchen

**Responsibilities include**
- Preparation of a varied, nutritious rolling weekly menu including hot food
- Catering for all children, including dietary requirements.
- Liaising with the Nursery Manager on weekly food orders and maintaining food stock
- Ensure that the kitchen is kept, clean and tidy
- Ensure all appropriate regulatory measures are taken to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.

**The ideal applicant**
- Experience of operating nursery kitchen ideal
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (we can assist)
- Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs (a register of dietary requirements is kept and are cross-checked with nursery room staff each morning)
- Ability to manage yourself, prioritise and operate kitchen efficiently
- Health & Safety knowledge.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £10.70 per hour
