Our world-renowned client is a seeking a Lead, Data Governance to join their incredible awarding company in London. In this role you will be responsible for constructing and leading teams to provide data governance and maintaining data protection capabilities.Your responsibilities will also concentrate on the development of standards concerning overall data governance methods.

Key responsibilities as a Lead, Data Governance:

- Construct and establish a global data governance structure guaranteeing standards, measures and enforcement capabilities
- Improve data governance policies, practices, and practices to guarantee agreements with corporate and global regulatory needs of the business
- Execute formal Critical Data Element (CDE) identification and certification/attestation practices
- Oversee a Business Glossary programme to identify and document the set of critical and impactful data elements and supporting metadata.
- Responsible for communicating with functional partners
- Launch processes and automated processes to monitor the status of cloud environments
- Deliver leadership, supervisory management, and mentorship to direct reports
- Build and deliver thorough and effective recurring security awareness training for data governance
- organizations
- Contribute towards customer briefings and opportunities
- Build strong relationships with clients and staff
- Build and retain scorecards to articulate and manage the required compliance of all data governance related KPIs
- Work in partnership directly with the business data owners to establish their adherence to data governance requirements
- Strengthen the assessment of proposed data sharing arrangements and evaluation of associated risks

Key Requirements as a Lead, Data Governance:
Qualification and experience
- Understanding of IT and Privacy frameworks
- Data Governance, Privacy, or Information Security certifications such as CIPP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CFE
- Knowledge with control frameworks and regulatory/compliance requirements such as ISO 27001/27018, SAS70, HIPAA, FISMA, EU Data Protection Directive, etc.
- 8+ years of direct experience in leadership role in cybersecurity, data management, and secure coding
- 7-10 years of experience in the data industry with 5+ years towards delivering Data Governance initiatives at large multi-business unit organizations
- Profound knowledge of Data Governance as a data discipline
- Strong knowledge of Data Quality and Data Management practices
- Profound understanding of global privacy and data protection regulations, such as EU’s GDPR and US laws such as CCPA, CPRA, CDPA, CPA, HIPAA, GLBA.
- Bachelor's degree required, in either computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, or related field
- Post-Graduate (Master’s degree preferred)
- Past Media and Entertainment industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively
- Willingness to travel
