**Food and Beverage Assistant (Breakfast) - The Maldron, Glasgow City.**

**We have a fantastic new vacancy for Food and Beverage Assistant in the excellent Maldron, Glasgow City.**

The Maldron Hotel Glasgow City is perfectly situated in the heart of the city just minutes from the ‘Glasgow Style Mile’ which offers the 2nd largest retail centre in the UK and home to the best shopping experience outside London’s West End. The Hotel opened in August 2021, with 300 bedrooms, a Grain & Grill Restaurant, Hotel Bar, The Red Bean Roastery coffee shop and 5 meeting rooms.

This hotel presents a fantastic opportunity for talented individuals to gain experience in the exciting environment of our hotel. The Dalata Hotel Group is Irelands largest hotel operator we offer excellent career prospects and opportunities throughout our expanding group.

**Objective of the Role**

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, the **Food and Beverage Assistant** will provide a friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly using their name.
- Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
- Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
- Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to be fully flexible with shifts, most of our shifts start at 6am
- Previous hotel experience in a 3/4 star hotel property is desired but not essential.
- Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced bar environment.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
- Micros Experience would be preferable.
