Assistant Greenkeeper

**The Mere Golf Resort & Spa** is a destination for business and pleasure, with an 81 bedroomed hotel, expansive wedding and event spaces, Championship golf course and an award-winning spa, set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.

We are currently expanding our dedicated Greenkeeping team and have an exciting opportunity for an **Assistant Greenkeeper,** who will have a vital role in ensuring our golf course is maintained to a championship standard.
- Previous experience as a greenkeeper
- NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in sports turf
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
- High level of attention to detail in all tasks undertaken
- Good communication skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Good time management

**The below attributes would be an advantage**:

- Spraying Pa1, 2 and 6
- Chainsaw cs 30/31
- Possesses a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- A sound understanding of the game of golf

**Duties will include**:

- Daily turf maintenance and preparation to high standards
- Maintaining bunkers
- Preparation and routine maintenance of machinery
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, supervisors, members and guests
- Monitor and maintain health and safety working practices
