Leasehold Officer

We're delighted to be recruiting for a Leasehold Officer to join our exciting Specialist Residential Services team, based in our Collins House office in Eastleigh.

Your main purpose will be to manage a portfolio of our leasehold, freehold and shared ownership properties, taking full responsibility for leasehold management and providing specialist advice to our customers both internally and externally.

You will confidently lead on the teams Landlord Certificate process, engaging with our legal and fire safety teams to ensure Abri’s requirements under the Building Safety Act are met. In addition to this, You’ll be scrutinising service charge enquiries, investigating anti-social behaviour and lease breaches, handling lease extension claims working closely with our legal teams and other lease specific enquiries.

**Knowledge, skills and experience required**

You’ll be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in both leasehold and shared ownership products, together with an understanding of the legislation effecting these customers (in particular the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002, Landlord and Tenant Act and Building Safety Act 2022).

You’ll need to have the ability to deal with difficult, sensitive and challenging behaviour and situations in a calm and professional manner, whilst using your initiative to problem solve.
