We have an opportunity as a Recruitment assistant within the non-medical team of Recruitment Services department at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

We manage the entirety of the Trust's recruitment for external and internal staff within the Trust. We are one of the busiest operational departments in the organisation. To say that this is a rewarding task is a huge understatement, and we are looking for a new assistant to join us.

The Recruitment Services department of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, is responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted supply of qualified staff to all areas of the organisation.

This is a very busy environment and relies heavily on developing trusted relationships with hiring managers and the colleagues in the Recruitment Services team.

In order to succeed in this role, and really enjoy it you must thrive on a busy admin environment where attention to detail is key. We deal with sensitive information such as contracts and salary details but we are also bound by following a number of legal re-employment check requirements.

We use a number of IT systems so you will have good experience with technology.

You do not necessarily need to come from an in-house recruitment environment but must have solid administrative experience in a highly demanding and high volume role.

We are one of the biggest and busiest NHS trusts in the country, incorporating the General, Glenfield and Royal Infirmary hospitals. We have our very own Children’s Hospital and run one of the country’s leading heart centres.

Our team is made up of more than 17,000 staff providing a range of services primarily for the one million residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
