**Childminding Assistant Vacancy**

Cally Smith Childcare is a registered childcare setting that is run from our family home in Brompton on Swale. The setting is open Mon-Thur 8.00am-5.30pm, 49 weeks per year with 3 weeks annual closure. We care for children from Birth-8 years old.

We are looking for a hardworking, passionate and reliable individual who can use their own initiative. Applicants should be fun, creative, calm and well-presented but most importantly have a passion for childcare.

Previous childcare experience is essential and applicant must hold a relevant childcare qualification and have good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- You will be registered as a childminding assistant and will assist with; interacting with children & their parents or carers; planning age appropriate activities & delivering them; adhering to all the settings policies & procedures; supervising at mealtimes; feeding babies; nappy changing; accompanying on outings.
- As part of the team you will also contribute to: preparing healthy meals & snacks; clearing away after meals; keeping the kitchen clean; keeping all areas of the setting clean including dusting, vacuuming & mopping; following strict deep clean lists to ensure the highest standards within the setting.

- have a genuine love for babies & young children and enjoy working with them
- be positive, outgoing and have the ability to work as a team
- be motivated to enhance children’s learning & development experiences
- be able to follow lists and schedules
- have good spoken and written english
- have excellent communication skills
- feel confident following recipes & cooking meals from scratch using fresh ingredients
- be willing to undertake any training required by management (cost to be covered by the employer)
- should be able to work flexible hours within the opening times

Part time: 15-25 hours per week (applicants will need to be flexible within this range)

Full time: 30 + hours per week

Rate of pay will depend on qualifications and previous experience

The role is dependant on a full enhanced DBS check, references & sucessful interviews
