We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate HCA or Support Worker to join our agency and work in a hospital within the Lancashire region. As a HCA/Support Worker, you will provide assistance and support to individuals with various needs, including physical disabilities, mental health conditions, or learning disabilities. Your role will involve promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for those in your care.

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining life skills, including budgeting, shopping, and cooking
- Assist with medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans
- Engage individuals in recreational activities and encourage social interaction
- Accompany individuals to appointments or outings as needed
- Monitor and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and participate in team meetings

**Skills**:1. Personal Care: Experience providing assistance with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Medication Administration: Familiarity with administering medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules.
3. Life Skills Development: Ability to support individuals in developing essential life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting.
4. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals.
5. Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify challenges or issues faced by individuals and find appropriate solutions.
6. Empathy: Ability to understand and empathize with the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals under your care.
7. Organization: Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £9.66-£17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 11.5 - 60.5 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Flexitime
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
