**Project Planner**
**£40 - £45 per hour Umbrella**
**Lancashire (3 days in office)**
**6 Month (Likely to be extended)**
**Job purpose of the**Cost Control & Planning Engineer monitors the delivery of all capital projects from initiation to closure.
**Experience Required**
We are seeking someone who has tracked a varied portfolio of improvements, modifications, task management systems or capital projects from inception to successful completion
Come from Engineering background but also possess a good knowledge of financial systems.
Work with multiple stakeholders who can often have different requirements. The establishment of clear project plans and maintaining stakeholder buy in is essential and will need to be able to recognise all of the EHS implications and plan accordingly.
- Responsible for planning and reporting of the site's capital projects with a combined yearly spend of between £1M and £10M Plus
- Life Cycle Project Delivery
- Have a broad knowledge of engineering in order to correctly plan a varied range of projects
- SAP experience

**Principal accountabilities**
- Monitors performance against each plan and makes the Project Group Manager and Engineering Manager aware of any issues.
- Maintains an overall capital delivery plan which allows the ongoing manpower requirements to be foreseen.
- Works closely with the Production Planner to minimise Plant outages by grouping work into the shortest possible window.
- Uses SAP to monitor costs and produce detailed cost reports for each Project Manager and the Site Management Team.
- Responsible for ensuring that all contract resource costs are correctly allocated to each cost centre.
- Verifies and approves all estimates submitted for capital funding.
- Submits capital project information for inclusion in the monthly operating report
