**Proof Reader/Copy Editor Job Description**

Proof read materials for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, consistency, and tone according to the company brand guidelines across a range of platforms and communications.

This is a hybrid role which is predominately home working. Some office and property visits will be required across the Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire counties.

**Responsibilities**:

- The main responsibility of the role is to check the brochure for all properties coming to market, prior to launch, for grammatical accuracy and brand compliance in line with the guidelines. [Brochures are time sensitive and need to be checked as soon as possible and, in normal circumstances, should be returned within a maximum of 4 hours from receipt]
- Checking marketing documentation, including presenters and tout material, for grammatical accuracy and brand compliance in line with the guidelines.
- Checking the websites to make sure pictures and copy maintain Michael Graham’s high standard and comply with brand guidelines.
- Checking the content of digital marketing, using platforms such as Hootsuite, for accuracy and brand compliance.
- Liaising with offices to write copy for high valuation bespoke property brochures, including property visits where required.
- Assisting with branch administration cover where required when other workload permits.
- Assisting administrators with support using tools such as Promap to create site plans when standard Go view maps don’t suffice.
- Covering leave periods for the Senior Proof Reader and the Creative Executive.

- Full UK Driving License
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Basic skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator desirable but training can be given if required

**Salary**: £14.50 per hour
