**Your New Role**

Survitec is currently looking for a Buyer to join the team. Are you a strategic driven individual? Interested in Procurement? We have the perfect role for you

Reporting into the Procurement Manager in our Marine division at our site In Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.

Your new role will sit as part of the Procurement family, who monitor and forecast changes in external source markets, identify critical materials and substitutes. You will oversee purchasing materials, parts, supplies and equipment in line with the purchasing strategy, processes and policy. Your role will drive value by optimising price, delivery and other supplier terms.

**What You Can Expect from the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure effective relationship building with allocated suppliers, ensuring buying is carried out within key supplier relationship terms
- Identify contract requirements and writes detailed supplier specifications for an allocated supplier portfolio
- Collate and analyse buying data using agreed tools, methods and formats; organises and summarises findings using appropriate software and presenting findings to appropriate standards and formats
- Evaluate costs and identify variances or opportunities to improve profitability against individual suppliers or types of goods
- Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy
- Identify instances of non-compliance with Survitec’s purchasing policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate
- You will contribute to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs, issues and concerns; communicates effectively to promote understanding and commitment

**The Experience and Skills You Will Have**

**Essential Criteria**
- ** **3-6 years’ Buyer/Procurement experience
- Educated to High School level with 2A levels or equivalent
- 6 months experience coordinating the work of others
