Trainee Technical Surveyor

The position involves visiting residential houses and completing Retrofit Assessments/Surveys. This is for the purpose of the occupier obtaining Government Funding towards home energy efficiency measures.

Upon completion of training you would be given a company vehicle and expected to carry out the following:

- Using a handheld device to assess the construction and energy characteristics of buildings
- Surveying properties around your region
- Submitting accurate survey data
- Working closely with colleagues to understand energy saving methods
- Detailing energy-saving methods and concepts from data captured during the survey.
- Assessing the existing Insulation, gas boiler and heating systems.
- Drawing accurate floor plans of the property and conducting various site safety assessments.
- Providing accurate evidence.

Essential skills:

- A full clean driving license
- Ability to self-motivate and work on your own initiative
- An analytical and problem-solving mind
- Ability to organise daily workloads and work to specific deadlines
- Communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues/customers & clients
- Provide detailed information relating to surveys/assessments undertaken
- Reliable, professional and flexible
- Desire and drive to develop your abilities with the goal being a long-term career
- A minimum of 5 years driving experience is essential due to the nature of the job.

Starting salary: £20,000 per year whilst training and reviewed after probation.
