**About the Position**

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer for our growing development organization. Your duties will be to create empathy for our users through a deep understanding of their lived experience and workflows, generate UX artifacts to facilitate development, and participate in the development process as a dev team member. You will conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and use the information to create sitemaps, customer journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes.

Ultimately, you will design an experience that will attract, enable, and retain customers.

The position reports directly to Director of Product Management, but you will be interacting with other team members within the Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing and of course, extensively with our Customers.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- Understand our clients and their needs through customer research, feedback, and market analysis
- Translate concepts into customer personas, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences across a wide range of devices and interfaces
- Facilitate product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products
- Lead efforts to create and maintain UX design standards, interaction flow, asset libraries, and design system for the product portfolio
- Work with the team during development to identify problems and devise elegant solutions
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas
- Analyze and coordinate product-related activities to meet or exceed customer needs
- Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products

**Skills and Experience**
- A bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, user-experience design, or related discipline is required. An advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience working on modern and complex web experience
- 5+ years of experience creating wireframes, clickable prototypes, and design specs
- 3+ years of experience running research to gather customer needs / requirements / feedback
- An online portfolio demonstrating samples of design deliverables (personas, journey maps, low to high fidelity prototypes)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with an open and honest attitude
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently with stakeholders to arrive at a design that supports both the business and a strong user experience
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
- Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design
- Expertise with tools like Sketch, Axure, InVision, Balsamiq, Figma, or similar. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum and Kanban)
