Waste Operative

BDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for Waste Operatives to working the Tooting, London area.

In this role you will assist in the day to day running of the site, to ensure that processes are carried out safely and efficiently. They will also contribute to the protection of the environment, efficient use of resources and enhancing quality in compliance with relevant regulation. This position provides good prospects of advancement, alongside a training to enhance professional growth.
- To assist in the running and upkeep of the Mechanical Treatment facility here at Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park.
- Tasks will include general cleaning, assisting with the clearance of blockages and working alongside the shift supervisors to maintain processing targets, some basic maintenance skills will also be utilised.
- Being hands-on with tasks which will require a high degree of manual labour.
- Operation of a baler (full training provided), working at height equipment and some mobile plant.
- Carrying out routine checks on machinery and equipment, including daily checks to confirm working order in accordance with work instructions and manufacturer’s instructions. Report any defects as per company procedures.
- Communing effectively with managers, peers, internal and external customers.

Please be aware that this is a very physical role, working in all weather conditions.

Pay Rate: £10ph PAYE- £12.62ph UMB

This is a full time tempory ongoing position to start ASAP
