Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer the opportunity of a Level 2 AAT Apprenticeship within our Finance Department based at our headquarters, Sentinel House in Poole. We have two apprenticeship positions available.

You will undertake a level 2 AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Apprenticeship.

The aim is to improve the capacity of the Trust to adequately support four particular areas of the enlarged Trust’s activities:
Provide administration assistance to the tasks related to the post.

Support time focused projects.

Ensure Contracts Database and Creditor Payments system is updated in a timely and accurate manner.

You will be a valued member of our busy and friendly team and assist in the effective and smooth running of our Income and Costing and Financial Services team.

**This role will**:
Support the Income and Costing and Financial Services teams in providing advice and information on behalf of the Trust. This will involve rotating throughout the financial teams within the finance department.

Manage the Trust’s contracts database and creditor payments system on a daily basis.

Assist in the review of income contracts and supplier invoices to provide advice to service managers as appropriate.

Ensure that appropriate controls are in place and maintained to deliver the financial duties and objectives of the Trust.

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust will provide: A dedicated mentor to support you through your apprenticeship, providing support and advice within the workplace, as well as helping you manage the balance of work and apprenticeship studies.

You will have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally and will be encouraged to attend our in-house training courses and shadow colleagues from other services. There may be further opportunities depending on your interests and strengths.
