At HCC-Temps, we supply all grades of staff to the healthcare sector ranging from healthcare assistants, support workers, registered nurses, chefs, kitchen assistants, and catering assistants in various hospitals, prisons and care home locations across the UK.

We are currently seeking individuals with prison clearance or those willing to undergo National Security vetting to obtain CTC (Counter Terrorism Check) clearance.

As a Healthcare Assistant working at a Prison your days will be rewarding and varied, your responsibilities will include; providing high-quality patient care under the guidance of qualified nurses and therapists, setting up and preparing for clinics and supporting patients attending clinics. You’ll be an integral part of the healthcare team by bringing your top-notch skills and passion for care. Assisting the registered practitioner in the risk assessment and delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients.

To succeed in the role, you will have experience working within a Primary Care setting, including care homes, or hospitals and working within a multi-disciplinary team.

**Main Responsibilities**

Within this role, you will:

- Work as part of the multidisciplinary team participating in procedures and duties by agreed standards relevant to the role
- Participate in the assessment process of care needs and implementation of programmes of holistic care within set standards
- Work in partnership with clients ensuring privacy and dignity are maintained
- Assist in the promotion of the health and well-being of clients
- Undertake clinical interventions as delegated by a senior team member
- Maintain close liaison with the senior team member who is responsible for the workload
- Maintain clear and comprehensive, signed and contemporaneous records according to HCRG Care Group procedures
- Assist with clerical and administrative duties as required
- Work in cooperation with all other professionals and agencies involved in the care of the client
- Willingness to undergo prison clearance and security checks, passing security vetting (including references, police checks, and photo identification).
- An up-to-date CV and should have references covering 5yrs
- Right To Work (Passport/Biometric)
- Compassion and empathy towards inmates' needs and concerns.
- Up-to-date Mandatory Training.
- Effective communication skills.
- Diligence in documenting patient information accurately.
- Safety-conscious.
- Residency in the UK for the past 3+ years.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and assisting
- Willingness to undergo prison clearance and security checks.with patient mobility
