Tempting Recruitment is delighted to present a compelling opportunity with our respected client - a prominent council. We are currently seeking a dedicated Arboricultural Officer to join their dynamic team.

**The Position**:
The duties you will be performing as part of your role:

- Ensure compliance with service agreements and maintain accurate record-keeping.
- Accurately maintain all records in accordance with established standards and specifications.
- Uphold adherence to specified standards and ensure full compliance with them.
- Guarantee the Council's ability to demonstrate meeting all legal requirements in case of hearings.
- Ensure the Council complies with tree management policies, meeting customer service needs in alignment with service agreements.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Ability to travel across the county.
- Substantive knowledge and experience in the arboricultural industry, with expertise in investigating and specifying Health and safety and amenity tree management work, particularly in public highway and/or public realm environments.
- Minimum Level 3 arboricultural qualification.
- Demonstrated expertise in tree species, identifying and assessing structural weakness, decay, pests, and diseases, and understanding the impact of tree root systems on buildings and hard surfaces, with proficiency in recommending remedial actions.
- In-depth knowledge of best arboricultural practices and legislative requirements related to Health and safety.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage the delivery of individual work programs to agreed standards and schedules.
- Possession of a full clean current driving license.
- Excellent proficiency in relevant ICT systems.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse groups and individuals, including the public, members, client departments, and external organizations. Commitment to providing excellent customer service, and handling public queries with respect.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet service requirements.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible attitude towards tasks and working hours.
- Availability to work on bank holidays and some weekends due to service requirements.

**Hourly Rate**:£18 per Hour (Umbrella)

**Commencement Date**:November/December 2023

**Work Hours: Hybrid **Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
