Are you a passionate Manual Machinist, looking for an exciting new role?

Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for an Manual Machinist to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based near Hyde working as part of their team.

**Principle Responsibilities for the Manual Machinist**:

- Reading technical drawings and accurate marking out
- Checking and selecting correct material for relevant job
- Single point screw cut essential
- Turning on a selection of manual centre lathes upto 3.5 mtrs long
- Milling on multi axis manual machines
- Loading and unloading with overhead cranes and FLTs
- Machining a variety of materials including plastics, mild & stainless steels, alloys,
- Reverse engineering solutions to assist repairs to fabrications
- Working alongside senior fabricators to effectively repair customer components
- Mentoring junior machinists to develop their manual machining abilities
- Ideally suited to someone who has been a manual machinist for at least 10 years

**Person specification:

- **
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist with a strong background in operating lathes and milling machines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Solid understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively.
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to best practices in a workshop environment.

This is a full time Monday to Friday permanent Manual Machinist position, offering an hourly salary of up to £15.00 per hour plus other benefits including cycle to work scheme, company pension and onsite parking.
