Npd Technologist

A large food manufacturer are currently recruiting for an NPD Technologist, to support with the development of products from concept, trials and launch also. This full-time, permanent role is based in Evesham, and is suitable for a food science who is looking to begin a career in the food industry.

**Salary: £ 25,000 - £ 30,000 p.a. plus pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, and other company benefits**

**The Role**

Create innovative, on-trend recipes which are commercially and practically viable for scale-up production.
Present new and EPD products both internally and externally from concept to launch in a professional manner.
Produce internal and customer documentation for product specifications and launch which supports both customer expectations and factory capabilities.
Organise required testing and analysis of products to produce supporting life and artwork documentation.
Create samples for customers in the NPD kitchen throughout the development process.
Assist in managing the NPD kitchen.
Organise and lead factory trials to ensure smooth launches of products and packaging concepts to customer specifications.
Provide support to artwork and specification process with a good understanding of all requirements when needed.
Support the NPD Manager in driving innovation and packaging agenda across the business with all key stakeholders.
Support the NPD Manager in cost-saving/optimisation projects, working closely with the procurement team and managing trials as required.

A food science degree or equivalent qualification
A passionate foodie with keen interest in market trends
Someone who is capable of working in a small team
A competent communicator who is able to liaise with factory and office staff
Live in commutable distance from Evesham, Worcestershire
