**Job Overview**

Due to continued company expansion we have a vacancy for a Manual & CNC Machinist to join our team. The scope of works is varied but mainly concentrates on the manufacture of bespoke lifting equipment and special purpose machinery. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor the main duties and responsibilities include the following:
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Produce machined parts out of mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel and nylon - mainly focusing on small intricate parts where precision is key. Parts are usually 1 offs for bespoke equipment, so every job is different.
- Use of conventional lathes, milling machines, slotting machine, horizonal borer, radial arm drill etc.
- Use of Haas CNC 3 axis miller and lathe (including programming)
- Follow detail drawings accurately to produce finished parts
- Attend internal project meetings / discussions
- Liaise with the design team to implement design improvements
- Inspection of finished machined parts

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall objectives of the business.

**Essential Requirements**
- 5 years experience in manual machining
- 5 years experience in CNC machining
- Experience in working to tight tolerances
- Read and understand engineering drawings
- Formal qualification in engineering

**Desirable**
- Overhead crane licence (training can be provided)

You will also be required to adhere to the companies Health and Safety policy and quality management system.

Package / salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience

40 hours / week + overtime (as and when required)
