**Who we are seeking**

We are now recruiting for an experienced Abnormal Load Escort Driver to join the Sunseeker family. This position is situated within the Sunseeker Transport department where you will be escorting abnormal loads from external suppliers and between the majority of Sunseeker sites.

You will be responsible for preparing the vehicle and assisting the driver in checking the condition of the transporting vehicle and load before departure. You will be required to have regular contact with site personnel and provide exceptional customer service, whilst ensuring that the load you are escorting arrives at the delivery site safely.

You'll be based at our Sunseeker Distribution Centre in Upton, Dorset. You'll have the opportunity to work with our largest sites within our award-winning workforce, truly becoming a part of the Sunseeker family.

**Example responsibilities include**

As an Abnormal Load Escort Driver, you'll be responsible for supporting transport operation by driving HGV Class 1 vehicles when required, positioning escort vehicles appropriately on the road to warn traffic of any oncoming vehicles as well as ensuring that you are responding appropriately to emergencies, incidents, unexpected situations and breakdowns. The role requires you to carry out post-operative checks to escort vehicles and the contents to ensure there is no defects.
- Must have experience of driving as well as a full and valid UK driving licence
- Is reliable and self-motivated with a willingness to work hard
- Has excellent communication skills and takes a calm approach when faced with adverse situations
