**Logistics Operative - Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust**

**£10.37 per hour plus accrued holiday pay**

Responsibilities will cover several areas such as:

- Inspection of all deliveries, checking for quality and quantity and reporting any shortages or damages
- Completion of appropriate paperwork and dealing with telephone enquiries
- Maintains Procurement filing systems and liaising with Creditor Payments as required
- Recording of Goods Received using Procurement computer systems
- Undertakes put-away of goods within Receipts and Distribution areas as required
- To participate in the stock replenishment systems within Stores, Wards and Departments
- Transport goods to the appropriate department as necessary
- Maintains cleanliness and tidiness of Stores and undertaking stock checking and recording information as required, ensuring that the internal Laboratory Store maintains appropriate stock levels.
- Order goods utilising computer systems and ensuring accurate and timely data capture.
- Drive the Pharmacy vans around the Northern Campus and from the Northern Campus to the hospitals on the Central Campus and designated delivery points around the city to distribute pharmaceuticals and bulk fluids across the Trust.

The skills required are:

- Experience in a driving role.
- Experience in stores/warehousing.
- English and Maths GCSE C or above (working or willing to work towards) or equivalent experience.
- Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining good attention to detail
- Able to use initiative to solve day to day issues
- Ability to organise & prioritise daily workloads and work to deadlines
- Ability to be pro-active and use own initiative
- Literate, numerate, accurate, articulate
- Excellent analytical skills with a good understanding of spoken and written English.
- Be able to keep accurate records of all activities for audit purpose
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Trained in Manual Handling
