**Job Description**:

HY designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts, marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 80 years.

Vacancies have arisen across our Value Stream # for 18 Zone Captains reporting to the Area Coaches.

Fabrication / Frame Weld ICE / Frame Weld ER / OHG Weld / Paint / Channel Centre / MAST_Carriage Weld

The main responsibilities of these roles are to:

- Lead the daily zone meetings and communicate team performance and other relevant issues directly to the Area Coach
- Coach the operators in the zone, ensuring adherence to defined processes e.g. DFT, OMS Work Instructions, etc.
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Respond to flow disruption/Andon alerts, making initial assessments and takes decisions required to maintain production flow, minimising line stoppages and resolving small problems
- Peer train team members to cover multiple workstations and provide direct cover assistance to enable flex training within the team
- Keep Flow rate boards up to date and monitor E-Scheduling demand
- Help the Area Coach to deploy labour to compensate for Unavailable To Work
- Support introduction of new product
- Have 6 months experience working in a heavy Manufacturing/Engineering company by closing date of this advertisement.
- Ability to work the required shift pattern (Across 3 shifts).
- Strong Interpersonal and Communications skills.
- Be able to flex into various stations within the area.
- 6 months experience of the area applied for.
- Experience in team leading.
- Experience of Welding/Paint/Fabrication.
