**Main Duties/Key Tasks**:

- Manage the rotas to ensure that there is adequate staff cover at all times.
- Deal with more complex enquiries from patients and receive complaints in accordance with the company’s complaints procedure.
- Ensure an effective and efficient administrative service to both patients and visitors

To liaise with consultants, secretaries, radiographers and patient administration staff regarding patient information and appointment scheduling
- Ensure practice policies are followed and accurate records are kept, with particular reference to: appointments, messages, visits, post, patient registration, filing systems
- Liaise with Pathology Coordinator concerning staffing and organisation of work
- Have a working knowledge of all software and hardware, dealing with IT problems on site as needed in the absence of the Pathology Coordinator
- Continually assess and evaluate systems, recommending changes and improvements to the Pathology Coordinator as appropriate
- Overseeing the team performance and regular 1:1’s

**Clinical Responsibilities**
- To be fully competent in all aspects of venepuncture as according to our policy
- To have full working knowledge of all tests provided currently and their associated collection tube/methods.
- To adhere to the phlebotomy standard operating procedures and phlebotomy duties as laid out in Phlebotomy Operational Guidelines

**Profile**

Education and experience
- Experience in a private healthcare environment (essential)
- Higher education (A Levels) (desirable)
- Experience in a high-quality customer facing role, 5-star hospitality experience ideal
- Experience utilising MS Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information (essential)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £27,000.00 per year
