**FFinance Assistant & Administrator**

**We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join us in our London office on a maternity cover contract.**
- Fixed term contract until the end of October 2024
- Full time, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
- Location London WC2R 1DA
- £26,000 per annum (pro rata)

Global Market Summits is a small team and have been established in the conferences industry for 10 years and are leading the Manufacturing sector with our talks across the EU and US.

We serve the world’s leading executives in manufacturing with our extensive portfolio of international benchmarking and networking summits across Europe and the USA, which highlight a wide range of key issues and trends faced within manufacturing management today such as Industry 4.0, IIoT Artificial Intelligence and data analytics**.**

**The Role**

GM Summits outsources some of its management accountancy to an accountancy firm who prepare end of year accounts, check and submit VAT returns and do the monthly payroll, The role of Finance Assistant does involve producing quarterly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting and hands-on use of accounting software Sage,

**Finance Responsibilities**
- Creating, sending and chasing invoices to clients
- Logging onto Sage all Sterling, Euro and US Client Invoices and payments
- Managing the EPDQ suppliers
- Taking payments from clients via EPDQ
- Maintain and update general ledger and sales Journal
- VAT Returns
- Bank Reconciliations
- Managing outgoing payment ledger
- Creating and managing company budgets against disbarment and revenue
- Tracking profit and loss
- Monitor vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts.
- Monitoring sales and managing commission payments
- Managing payroll amounts for external accountants.
- Managing staff expenses
- Prepare and process vendor supplier forms.
- Using Adobe InDesign to create Invoices.

**Adhoc Admin Responsibilities**
- Event Operations administration tasks to support the team.
- Using Adobe InDesign to create events catalogue.
- Using Adobe Illustrator to create/amend event Packages on request.

**What do I know?**

**Useful knowledge, skills and experience**
- One to three years working in a finance administrator role.
- Expert Knowledge of Sage
- Competent user of Microsoft office especially excel.
- Knowledge of preparing in year management accounts and budgets
- Confidence to chase payment over the phone.
- High standard of numeracy
- Be passionate in driving the success of the business.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
