Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is thatyou will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

Let us introduce you to **Ben**:
Ben loves being outdoors, going for long Drives (especially on those rare sunny days in Scotland) and just being as generally active as possible. A typical day could be going to the shops to ensure Ben has all the essentials he needs, or even just to havea wander around his local community, and Ben especially enjoys going to cafe's for a cake.

In his downtime, Ben enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and just having a general relax in his home. Ben receives support 7 days a week usually between the hours of 8am and 8pm.Sadly, it’s not always possible for Ben to enjoy what many peoplewould consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.
