Senior Claims Handler

**Job Title: Senior Claims Handler or Claims Handle**

**Location: Charlbury**

**Salary: Commensurate with experience plus a good range of benefits**

**Duration: Permanent**

**Hours: 35 hours a week (9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday)**

**Key Responsibilities**
- To act as Claims handler within the Lycetts Claims Centre of Excellence servicing all offices nationwide
- To handle claims efficiently within the Lycetts agreed service levels and timescales
- Delivery of proactive and client focused claims handling at all times
- Foster good relations with insurance companies, loss adjusters and third party suppliers
- Liaise with insurers, suppliers and clients

**Essential Attributes**
- Previous claims experience handing Commercial claims including motor, property and liability.
- Knowledge of wide range of insurance products
- Good confident customer skills - both written & oral
- Good negotiating skills and the ability to build good relationships with both clients and insurers
- Good organisational ability
- Sound knowledge of FCA requirements within a claims handling role
- Well-presented, hardworking, pro-active team player with initiative

Advantageous Attributes
- Knowledge of Word/Excel
- Experience with the OpenGI broking software
- Insurance qualifications - Cert CII progressing towards Dip CII or above

**Benefits**

Salary negotiable dependent on experience, plus:

- Money purchase pension scheme, 5% employer contribution rising to 10% after 5 years. Pension scheme includes Life Assurance cover.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- 35 hours/week, 9.00 to 5.00, flexible working options available pending completion of probation.
- Possible entitlement to Discretionary Staff Bonus.
