Wedgwood House have an exiting opportunity for the role of a Occupational Therapy Assistant. This is a role which service users consistently identify as having a positive impact upon their recovery and their experiences in mental health inpatient services

This post is specifically to assist the Occupational Therapists in assessment and delivery of OT interventions to our patients in the older persons mental health assessment and treatment ward. Relevant experience will be required with a flair for working intuitively within the Occupational Therapy ethos, with the ultimate aim of assisting our patients to maintain skills so that a smooth transition to returning home can occur.

You will be required to work with teams across Wedgwood to support service users in undertaking physical activity. We have a gym and areas to facilitate activities.

You will also facilitate time away from the unit with identified individuals in order to access community resources and engage with nature.

A relevant qualification in Occupational Assistant therapies or a foundation degree is essential for this post.
