**Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship position at Halley House School**
We are a one-form entry, primary, free school serving the communities of Dalston, Stoke Newington and Shacklewell, in London.
We opened our doors on Monday 7th September 2015 to offer local parents the opportunity to access the highest standards of education, blended from the best of the state and independent sectors.
We have just over 200 children on site each day, and are based in a modern repurposed office block, with very good indoor educational facilities - inc. a library, art studio, conference room, music room, play room, breakfast club room, play room, sports hall, therapy room, main hall, classrooms and offices.
Being a state school, we do not charge any fees, but are funded by the government.
We also have a nursery for 3-4 year olds, with a wide variety of activities for toddlers such as outdoor adventures, specialist Art and PE lessons, weekly music sessions for children taught by fully qualified and experienced teachers. All this at no extra cost to families. We are a proud part of the Bellevue Place Education Trust.

- ** Wage**:£6.40 an hour (Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds)

**Brief overview of this role**:
The roles are to be an apprentice teaching assistants, supporting experienced teachers. Helping children in their daily lessons, attending to first aid issues, managing pupils at playtimes and lunchtimes and supporting children to move around the school site well.
We are looking for two hard-working team-players, who are willing to get stuck in and support with the daily running of primary classes.
**One apprentice for Infants and one for the Junior, but both on the same site here in Dalston.**
