**Job description**:
Vickerstock are working in partnership with an industry leading design and manufacturing firm based in Dungannon on the appointment of an experienced Senior Buyer.

Reporting directly to and working closely with the Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for developing Sourcing Strategies based on detailed spend analysis. In this key role you will be heavily involved in running contract negotiations and commercial responsibilities across major projects.

**In your new role**:

- Understand and track performance of spend, supply market and costs
- Leverage buying power to optimize costs, access new suppliers, reduce lead times, and guarantee supply
- Provide supply market, sourcing advice and recommendations
- Develop, implement using tools and technology for managing and analyzing supplier portfolios
- Lead on a range of sourcing activities, commercial decision making and contract management covering the full end to end sourcing process
- Implement and support compliance to standards and minimize risk and cost exposure
- Identify cost savings with current suppliers and negotiate price decreases
- Push back any advance and reach agreement with suppliers on cost increases they propose
- Source & evaluate new suppliers to improve the brand
- Record and track cost saving projects
- Travel to suppliers sites to analyse performance and renegotiate

**What you need to succeed**:

- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- At least 5 GCSE's grade C or above including Math and English
- A Solid knowledge and understanding of the full end to end procurement process
- A proven track record of success in the delivery of cost saving projects and programmes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and with ERP systems
