As a key member of the Seafront Team, the post holder is responsible for the coordination and smooth operation of the open-air bandstand, to include weddings and band performances.
- This will require excellent communication and organisational skills, to ensure all bookings and information are correct prior to, and during each ceremony.
- Those involved with each element of the ceremony, from early booking to the day itself, will need to be communicated with. This includes the events booking team, the registrars for each ceremony, the bandstand dressing team and the couples involved in the happy occasion. All parties must be well informed, so each ceremony is delivered successfully.
- The role requires the moving, setting up and packing down of the wedding chairs, tables and decor. Although there is a trolley to move the chairs from the storage to the site, the successful applicant will need to be able to carry out this task without assistance, under their own supervision and in a busy outdoor environment.
- You will remain on site during the ceremony itself, to ensure the venue is a safe and controlled environment, and the couples and their guests have a point of contact before and during the day.
- The applicant will also be responsible for setting up and providing a safe usable beach volleyball court, to include raking the court, inspecting and remove any debris or hazardous items.
- You will be based at the seafront office when not required at the bandstand. You will then be involved with the day-to-day operations of the office, answering phones, assisting with admin tasks and dealing with public enquiries at the reception task.

**About the role**:
**You will need to enjoy working in an outdoor environment, have excellent communication skills, be a problem solver, be customer focused and confident to work unsupervised.**

**Training and uniform will be provided, with job support from other experienced seafront team members.**

**You will work weekends, with days off mainly being Mondays and Tuesdays, with the occasional Sunday, dependent on bookings. Weekend pay enhancements will be added.**

- A good level of stamina to move and transport the wedding equipment from storage to the venue.
- Enthusiastic team player, yet highly motivated to work under own initiative
- Flexible approach to working patterns and environments - weekend working is essential.

**This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in event management, gain an understanding of operations in a busy coastal resort, or build on skills they already have within a customer focused role.**

Contract: 6 month Fixed Term (expectedly from 1st April to 30th Sep)

Hours: Full-time, 37 per week

Working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and public holidays.
