Training Coordinator

**The Role**
A pivotal role within the company; the Training Coordinator will play a key part in the continual progression of a learning and development culture within Flightworx Aviation as well as enhancing the company training strategy and policy.
Working closely with department managers, the Training Coordinator will help identify training and other learning and development priorities for individual staff and teams and implement the most cost-effective solutions, ensuring these are fully evaluated whilst working to standards outlined in the training manual.
The Training Coordinator will set a strong example to colleagues through their professionalism, standards and behaviour and in making a positive contribution to the overall development of the company and its success.
**Responsibilities**
- **Strategy/Policy** - referring to the training manual, and in consultation with the General Manager, ensure an effective company training strategy and policies are in place
- **Training Needs Analysis** - to consult with managers to identify core competencies and training/development priorities, needs and trends for each member of staff and department.
- **Training Needs Analysis** - to ensure that the training requirements for each role at Flightworx are defined and captured on the company training matrix; keeping the company matrix under regular review and up to date.
- **Recruitment **- Be integral in the advertisements, interviewing and recruitment for any vacancies across the company.
- **Training Coordination/Delivery** - coordinate the planning and delivery of all company induction, developmental and recurrent training and delivering training where applicable. Consulting closely with all managers to ensure that all in-house departmental training is defined and fit for purpose. Ensure that all in-house training is delivered effectively.
- **External/Video Training Solutions** - research and arrange any external training (residential, delivered on our premises, e-learning etc) to meet training/development priorities considered beyond the remit or expertise of Flightworx. Ensure that a sound procurement process is followed: various options identified and costed up and finance agreed with the General Manager. Develop online tutorials for staff member training, creating a library for continuous referral, capturing elements of LEON, PPS and other platforms to ensure that staff members have a clear and concise understanding of the systems in use.
- **Apprenticeships **- Research and develop apprenticeship opportunities for Flightworx to offer, talking to government agencies and identifying relevant courses for apprentices to undertake. Ensuring that the apprentice is integrated correctly and that their training stays on track throughout the term of the apprenticeship.
- **Training Evaluation** - To ensure that all training and development activity is fully evaluated; determine and implement any appropriate changes as required and make recommendations on cost-effectiveness and value for money of any training or other activity procured externally.
- **Record Keeping** - maintain PROPS for all modules of internal and external training. Provide any of this information as evidence of procedure or proficiency when requested by clients or as part of any internal or external audit.
**Skills, Knowledge and Qualities Required**
- Self-driven, highly motivated; the ability to work with a team and independently and to deadlines.
- Must be willing to develop the training department, and ensure that training is following the standards outlined in our training manual.
- Highly effective organiser; good planning and analytical skills - ability to assess lots of different types and forms of information and extrapolate trends and deliver appropriate solutions.
- A professional and flexible approach to work with a strong commitment to compliance and safety.
- Good IT proficiency in particular with all Microsoft systems and screen video software, the youTube platform and online training software
- Fluent in written and spoken English
