**About this client**:
Grace (21) is an engaging and bright young lady who is in her second year of a university degree. She enjoys eating out, shopping, spending time with her friends and family and travelling. Grace attends church on Sundays. Grace sustained a spinal injury; sheis a wheelchair user and is ventilator dependent. She requires 1:1 support with all her daily living tasks.Grace lives in a fully adapted house, at the heart of a loving family and in university accommodation (Roehampton) in term time.
**Overview of role**:
We are looking for a Waking Night Carer to join Grace’s dedicated team. The evening shift starts at 8.00pm and if Grace is going out, you will accompany her, for example to music concerts, cinema, church, or perhaps a party. During the waking night, you’llassist with Grace’s personal care, incontinence care, tracheostomy care, observing and monitoring vital signs, passive movements, moving and handling, positioning, showering, house chores, laundry. You will administer Grace’s medication, ensure she is comfortableand safe at all times and complete housekeeping tasks related to her care, e.g. washing, equipment cleaning etc. Grace’s support staff accompany her on holidays abroad. 3 or 4 nights per week available, you will be required to work alternate weekends. 8.00pmto 8.00am. £15.00 to £18.00 gross per hour depending on experience.
