**Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role**

We're looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the Navy goes to sea safely bysupporting them in Devonport with a variety of supporting services.

**What do I need to do the role?**

You'll hold a minimum of HNC or equivalent in an Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline.
You'll also need to have the following:

- Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles;
- Ability to understand and produce electrical engineering drawings;
- Technical experience of electrical systems;
- Design engineering experience.

You'll also need excellent time-management and organisational skills; good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written, including report writing) and the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.

Devonport has also recently been selected asthe base port for the Navy's new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.
