We’re looking for part time Funeral Service Crew - Coroner Service to join our team in Bristol. This Service Crew role comes with a salary of £11.77 per hour (plus shift premium) and excellent benefits. A full manual UK driver’s licence is required to apply.
In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out the transfer of the deceased on behalf of the Coroners. You'll also support the day-to-day Funeralcare operation wherever possible, making sure that both Co-op’s and the Coroners' ways of working are adhered to and delivered to the highest standard.
Some of the main duties you can expect to take on as a Funeral Service Crew - Coroner Service member will include:
- Driving our vehicles and carrying out the transfer of the deceased on behalf of the Coroner in a professional and empathetic manner
- Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles
- Preparing coffins and engraving nameplates
- Assisting in the care and preparation of the deceased to the highest standards
This role would suit someone with the ability to react calmly and compassionately in emotional circumstances, as well as the ability to perform the physical aspects of the role (manual lifting). A sensitive approach to customer service with good attention to detail is also essential.
