**Senior Structural Engineer-**required for your client based in their office in Didcot. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer, looking to work within an established, multi-disciplinary, consultancy.This highly reputable consultancy is renowned throughout the UK and offers fantastic training and support. The Senior Structural; Engineer will be working on a large and small across most sectors including commercial, R&D, energy and residential new buildand refurbishment projects.

**Senior Structural EngineerPosition Overview**
- Work on a wide range of interesting projects
- Lead project teams, supervising and training engineers and technicians
- Responsible for the financial, technical and project management control of projects
- Mentor and help junior engineers and technicians
- Prepare an outline brief, visit site, review information including planning history and services
- You will prepare preliminary layouts, assist in budget and programming and assess all the risks
- See project through from inception to completion
- Prepare technical details for Architectural design and prepare technical specifications
- Liaise and attend meetings with Architects, clients, subcontractors and other professionals
- Represent the business, in a professional and courteous way
- Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
- Making sure the project complies with statutory requirements
- Complying to Health and Safety and CDM regs

**Senior Structural EngineerPosition Requirements**
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Working towards Chartered status
- Minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience in structural design
- Capability to prepare structural designs in all conventional materials
- Experience in refurbishment projects
- Have a global view of structural design on a project, identifying potential problems and solutions and providing advice to clients on design options
- Talent to prepare schematic structural designs based on basic architectural layouts
