We are currently recruiting 2x Activity Worker's to work within one of our STRIDE projects based in Ardrossan, Ayrshire.

This is a part time role offering 10 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 30th November 2023. You will be required to work 2 set evenings per week with occasional weekend work when required.

**About the project**:
STRIDE is a project designed to support one of the most transitions in a young person's life, moving from school to adulthood. The programme is designed to support people between the ages of 16-19 who may have communication and additional support needs and offers young people the opportunity to maximise a person's potential, increase self-esteem, self-confidence and independence. The supporting transition resilience independence development and empowerment project promotes uses a range of focussed activities for young people transitioning into adulthood which can help achieve goals and ambitions.

**About the role**:
As an Activity Worker you will be part of a small team of co-workers and volunteers delivering planned weekly activities and covering a range of topics such as general day to day life skills. You will work with the people we support in a group setting and develop an understanding of each person's individual needs. You will respond and adapt to varies situations and in line with policy and procedures while keeping the young people engaged and safe in a space where they can be creative and have fun There will be personal care involved and administration of medication will be required to meet the needs of the people attending the group sessions.

- You have a friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic nature
- You have the ability to lead a variety of activities to people who have additional support and communication needs
- Able to manage payments and transactions
- You have excellent record keeping and ability to evaluate
- You are able to follow risk assessment requirements and adapt to individual needs
- You have previous experience working in a group activity setting
- You have excellent skills in communicating with people
