Are you an experienced Buyer or Junior Buyer with an engineering, mining or construction background? A great opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join a global mining company based at their offices in North Yorkshire. The role offers an attractive salary & some excellent benefits. The role will require weekly travel to the Scarborough office. This is a great role working as part of a busy purchasing team.

**As the Buyer you will be responsible for**:

- Obtaining supplies and services and expediting materials
- Implementing contract strategies and managing contract development
- Administering Procurement processes and enrolling suppliers
- Maintaining good relationships with suppliers and on-site personnel
- Generating purchase reports and training new employees on the procurement system
- Being a key part of supporting the project procurement team

This role offers a salary up to £33k plus an excellent benefits package.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Whitby, North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
