General Labourer

HCS Mechanical Services are looking for a general labourer to work with the Installation team across North Yorkshire and parts of the North East. you will be working with different trades within the business for installation of boiler houses, general work at schools, nursing homes working with the drainage department, sometimes being 2nd man on the tanker, operating the drainage CCTV (training will be given).
- Maintain a satisfactory level of cleanliness throughout the site, including welfare and compound facilities.
- There may be a requirement to take on the role of a first aider onsite.
- Aid with any health & safety measures in order to comply with standards, such as; pedestrian routes and access, securing perimeter fencing, installing fall protection systems and site shut down procedures.
- Comply with and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES
- Experience in a previous role as a Labourer on a busy construction Site
- Full driving licence
- Physically fit
- Prepared to undertake safety training
- Effective communication skills, and good time management
- Ability to work in a construction environment
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Be able to lift and handle heavy objects
- Competent at performing routine manual labour tasks
- Attention to detail
- Ability to understand and execute written instructions
- Able to work in a team environment
- Well versed in maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Some experience operating a forklift (training will be given)
- Able to perform duties effectively in confined spaces

There is a scope for overtime with the role and some weekend work may also be required occasionally.
- CSCS or CCNSG would be an advantage but not essential.
