**Role Title**: Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant

**Position**:Permanent

**Hours of Work**:Varied hours of full and part time work across seven days to include early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends.
**Spot Rate**:£12.47

As one of our Delivery Drivers, you’ll be bringing that unique blend of quality and Partner-led service right to our customers’ doors. You'll typically start your day in store, where you'll load your van ready for the day's deliveries with the help of other Partners. You'll then ensure all of the appropriate vehicle safety checks are complete before you take to the road as a representative of our cherished brand and as a friendly part of the local community. It's worth noting that customer deliveries can involve heavy lifting as well as negotiating stairwells.

When you’re not out on the road, you’ll be back at the shop supporting the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping. Contributing to the efficient and productive running of the shop in a friendly and welcoming team.

Previous experience in a driving role and a knowledge of chilled vehicles would be welcomed, however, we'll give you all of the training your need to perform at your best, everyday.

As a Delivery Driver, your enthusiasm for your role and the Waitrose brand will make all the difference to the impression our customers have about the Waitrose brand and keep them returning again and again by earning their trust and loyalty for a lifetime. All the while working to maximize on sales and profit.

You'll need to demonstrate your flexibility as you understand where the needs of the operation and our customers are at different times in your day and be ready to help out when needed. You'll also need to be adaptable with the ability to use your initiative when dealing with unexpected situations that might occur throughout the day.
