An opportunity has arisen in the Community Learning Disability Team based in Bellbrook Centre in Uckfield. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The post could be full time or part time.

The purpose of this post is to plan and provide programmes of therapeuticactivities to people with learning disabilities referred to the team/service,within the framework laid down by an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Speech & Language Therapist. The post holder will have specific responsibility for the implementation and evaluation of creative/practical activities on an individual and group basis.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate a high level ofexpertise in computer and keyboard skills. They will need to have an excellent telephone/ communication manner and an understanding of confidentiality. They must be able to work well independently, manage changing demands and priorities, and also be able to work effectively as part of a team.

They will also need to be an effective communicator when dealing with service users, carers and health and social care professionals. We are looking for a person who has initiative, strong values and is people focused.
